Film about war poet Wilfred Owen, "The Burying Party" is released on Amazon Prime Video on 4 June.

In The Burying Party, Owen’s own words are used to narrate the last 12 months of his life, where returns to the Somme against the advice of his mentor, determined to follow his subject 'The Pity of War' to the very end. On November 4^th, 1918, Owen was killed during the battle to cross the Sambre-Oise canal at Orson, just one week before peace was declared.

Shot on location in Suffolk, Wirral, Liverpool, Wrexham and Edinburgh the film traces the eventful calendar year 1917/18 in which he rubbed shoulders with his literary idols, wrote some his most poignant work, fell in love, rejoined the war front, won the Military Medal at Joncourt before perishing on another assault at the Sambre-Oise Canal aged 25.

Its Director, Richard Weston said: "I'm really happy that the film is reaching a wider audience. It was a privilege to screen the film during the week of the centenary and we were thrilled by the response. It's surprising how little is known about Wilfred Owen's life, but I hope that the film continues to inspire people in the same way we were when reading his poetry and discovering his story.

The film won a series of awards at international festivals including Best Feature Film at New Renaissance Film Festival and was met with positive reviews following its cinema release"
